Where, oh where, did the first two months of this year go? Seriously. Someone needs to slow this spinning world down so that I can catch up! Sheesh. I was just sitting down to do some schedule planning with my precious assistant, Sara, when I realized that next week is (you might want to sit down for this one. . .) March. Yes, March. (I’ll pause a moment while you let that sink in.) I hardly know what to do with myself. And if next week is March, then next week is also Chapelwood’s Spring Thing Market. Man, this one really snuck up on me! Being that this is my tenth year selling at the market, I wanted to share my insider tips. . .
You’re going to want to jot this event down in your calendars ASAP. The preview party is Tuesday, March 3rd from 5 to 8.30pm. Tickets to the preview night are $15. (Shopping tip #1: If you join us at the preview event, you’ll get first pick of all of the beautiful things for sale, so if you’re a competitive shopper, this is the night for you!) Your money goes to benefit a good cause and you get the pick of the deals. It’s a win-win!
If you can’t join us on Tuesday night, the market is open for free admission shopping on Wednesday, March 4th from 9am to 5pm and Thursday, March 5th from 9am to 3pm. On Wednesday and Thursday, a full lunch (with dessert!) is available from 11am to 1pm for just $10. (Shopping tip #2: If you miss lunch or just need more sustenance for shopping, there’s a wonderful snack bar available as well.) There are 80 vendors, so you’ll need a plan to cover all the bases. There is shopping in most of the rooms in the church, so don’t stop until you’ve found your favorites. (We’ll be in the Fireside Room, as usual!) There are so many fabulous finds, from clothing to jewelry, food to handbags and handmade pens to Easter decorations. (Shopping tip #3: Wednesday is far more crowded than Thursday, so if you need a little bit slower pace or want room for your stroller, Thursday is a great day for that.) And don’t miss the silent auction! Items rotate throughout each day and there are some amazing deals to be had (including a certain sparkly design from us!)
