Save the date to join us at the Spring Thing Market at Chapelwood United Methodist Church next week. We absolutely LOVE doing this show. We’ve done this one for about eight years or more now and we love it every single year. It is so fun to connect with friends and long-time customers and we love the other vendors, too! Everyone is so sweet and brings such lovely things to sell. (The shopping is one of our favorite parts of markets!)
Brookwood Community always comes with their amazing plants and garden pieces. They have super deals on plants and arrangements (always love a bargain) that are so beautiful AND the sales benefit this amazing community that provides an educational environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging and demands dignity and respect for adults with disabilities. We had so much fun at Langford Market’s West Ave flagship location today! They girls who work in there are absolutely adorable and are so, so sweet and helpful. You should definitely stop in and check the place out. The decor and ambiance in the store offer a lovely aesthetic in which to shop and the clothes are really well-priced and offer on-trend colors and styles. Their jewelry isn’t at all my style, but their clothes are really cute! And maybe that’s why they asked me to come in and do a trunk show – to offer a slightly more dainty option. The customers were all very kind and excited to try on a more dainty look and find some things to layer with items they already had. A win-win! (more…)
Today, we are packed up and headed to San Francisco (where I definitely left my heart in September!) We haven’t been back since we moved to Texas and we are SO excited to see dear friends there – and to visit some of our favorite haunts (read: eat really good food and drink delicious lattes!) I have two jewelry shows in two different cities on back-to-back days there, so I’m sure to be a busy gal, but I promise to blog about our trip as I’m able, so you’ll know all about some of our favorite hotspots for your next visit to Fog City. One of the shows is a private home trunk show on Friday morning – if you’re interested in that, email us here. The second is the Junior League of Palo Alto Home Tour show on Saturday. Seriously, how cute is my friend Stephanie (above?) I love this girl. She is absolutely just as sweet as she is cute. And she’s just as amazing at throwing parties as she is sweet. Stephanie runs Stephanie Larson Events, an event planning business here in San Francisco. Her company provides boutique wedding planning & coordination services in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend a few parties that Stephanie planned and let me just tell you, it was like a Pinterest board came to life. This girl has talent! One such event was our friends Brian and Mina’s wedding. It was held at Rome Valley Vineyards in Garden Valley, California and it was spectacular (not to mention a TON of fun.) Brian and Mina incorporated so many fun things into their special day, as you can tell from the gorgeous photos on Stephanie’s blog post. (Sidenote – the photographer is also a friend of mine and you’ll be meeting him in a few weeks as well!) (more…)
Let’s face it, every time we hear about New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week and see photos of all of the glitz and glamour of the runway, we get the teensiest bit jealous, right? I mean, it does look fun to sit front row on the runway and watch such amazing artistry in fabric and design breeze by on the catwalk. And the parties – they look like so much fun! Back when I lived in Manhattan, I loved walking by Bryant Park during Fashion Week. You could just feel the energy and the glimpses of gorgeous ensembles weren’t bad either! (more…)
Today, we are thrilled to be one of the featured designers at the Candlelighter’s Lights of Courage Luncheon, where 20% of our sales will go directly to Candlelighters, which is a childhood cancer family alliance that is making a real difference in the lives of children with cancer. They offer real help to the families of children in the form of emotional, educational and practical support while their children are being treated for cancer. Candlelighters helps with meals, parking fees and groceries. They sit and listen to parents in an unbelievably difficult time. They provide camp experiences to the families that form lasting memories.
For more information about Candlelighters, check out their website here. We hope to see you at River Oaks Country Club for the luncheon today!
We travel to a LOT of shows. Holiday markets are one of our very favorite parts of what we do. We get to meet customers and help them knock things off of their holiday shopping lists, drink wine and eat treats and engage with our customers face-to-face in a world that has become a little too virtual, at times. In all of our travels, it is safe to say that the Hollydays show in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is filled with some of the VERY kindest people we have ever encountered. Hands-down, these people are at the top of the list for the friendliest, most genuine, fun-loving people we have ever come across at a holiday show. It is one of our favorite events and we’re sure that it will be yours, too! For more information on this crazy fun event that benefits a special cause, visit www.hollydays.org
