We met up with Christie Brinkley at the Sundance Film Festival – and she fell in love with these smoky quartz and emerald earrings!
I just got back from stunning Deer Valley and the 2009 Sundance Film Festival that takes over snowy Park City, Utah every year at this time! It was a wonderful trip and we met up with Christie Brinkley in downtown Park City and she fell in love with my earrings – the pear-shaped smoky quartz with faceted emerald roundels. Of course, I gave them to America’s sweetheart model and she couldn’t have been any nicer (or more beautiful – even up close!) She’s a darling in person and I’m just thrilled that she loves Andrea Montgomery Designs!

My incredibly talented wedding photographer, Brooke Schwab, recently did a photo shoot in Austin for The Knot magazine and she asked me to be the official jewelry designer for the shoot! AMD is magazine-bound again! Check out her blog for a preview of some of the pics from the recent shoot – and her amazing photography!

I just returned from a buying trip in NYC for the jewelry line. All I can say is, wow! There are so many fabulous new trends out there. My new fav? Rose gold. You heard me, girls. How can you not love it? It’s classic gold with a pink twist – much updated since it’s popularity in the 80’s and may I say, it is better than ever – simply striking! Check the website soon for the new rose gold pieces!
Our “love” necklace is a wonderful way to express your love this Valentine’s Day – with a piece of jewelry she’ll wear for years to come!
Love is in the air…can you feel it? I certainly can! Everywhere I look, I see beautiful flowers and corny red heart balloons and I wonder how this holiday became so big. I don’t buy the theory that Hallmark created it for the purpose of selling. I think it has grown in magnitude throughout the years because love has become increasingly important as the world faces more challenges. I think the desire for love was purposefully placed in each of our hearts by divine design. We’ve got lots of fun baubles to help you celebrate the day, whether a gift for that special someone or a little something for yourself – take a look around!
I decided that it’s high-time I get high-tech and have a blog. The website has undergone so many changes over the years – from a one-pager done in FrontPage, to the e-commerce stunner that it is today. Now, I’m feeling like I need a little dialogue with you guys – and a place to post my random thoughts, so here goes…and welcome to my blog!
